Tom Law (UK)
Biography
Tom is an independent filmmaker based in the South West of the UK; he shoots, edits and produces research films.
He is collaborating with Sarah Hartley to produce a short documentary film on the research project ‘Talking about gene drive: An exploration of language to enable understanding and deliberation in Africa, Europe, North America and Australasia’.
The goal is to deliver the subject to a wider audience in an engaging and accessible way by meeting the people behind the research and hearing their stories and perspectives.
Tom started his career 20 years ago as a runner at Channel 4’s Creative Services and became an award-winning network producer. He has worked in a variety of senior production roles on over a dozen television series and produced content for independent commercial agencies, production companies and theatre.
