Biography

Pedro’s research focuses on environmental policy and governance with an emphasis on the role of institutions (eg regulations, norms, and decision-making processes) in addressing pressing environmental issues (eg over-exploitation of natural resources, biodiversity loss and climate change).

Emerging areas of interest include governance implications of using novel and emerging technologies (eg synthetic biology) for environmental outcomes.
